Yonex Denmark Open 2012: Kaori Imabeppu shows exit to Lene Clausen in qualifying round clash

Japan’s spirited player Kaori Imabeppu proved her mettle on court and stormed into the next stage of Women’s Singles qualifying round after showing a spectacular performance against the local player Lene Clausen at the Yonex Denmark Open 2012 on Tuesday, October 16, at Odense, Denmark.

The in-form Kaori, who is the second seed in Women’s Singles qualifying round draw in the championship, employed her impressive skills in the most effective manner and easily stamped her mark over Lene by taking just 28 minute of the court time.

Kaori confidently executed her shots in all areas of her rival’s court and her impressive speed created the difference in the arena.

The Japanese lady did not face any considerable opposition and easily won the battle in two games with an incredible score on the board.

The lower ranked Lene, on the other hand, could not do much against the power play of her second seeded Japanese shuttler and eventually knelt down without showing even a few glimpses of her brilliance in front of her home fans.

It was a completely one-sided battle as the Japanese shuttler was far better as compared to the Danish player in all aspects of the game and she proved her worth without putting in extra effort in the contest.

In the first game, the impressive Kaori showed urgency in setting up an early lead and she did not face any trouble in getting a strong position until the end of opening half when she was ahead on score board with a comfortable lead of 11-3.

After the one-minute break, Japanese player continued her positive and composed play without facing any interruption from her Danish challenger and she easily bagged the first game with a 21-9 score on the board.

The second game was almost identical when Kaori again remained on the driving seat and managed to stay ahead on score board at 11-4 until the end of first half.

After the one-minute break, the impressive Kaori was quite calm and positive on court as she showed no sign of confusion all the way and ended up the set with a spectacular 21-9 score on the board.

The in-form Kaori easily bagged victory in this qualifying round match with a stunning margin of 21-9 and 21-9.
