Irish Future Series 2012: Perrine Le Buhanic beats Sinead Chambers to claim Women’s Singles title

The lofty Perrine Le Buhanic, who is one of the most talented and promising shuttlers from France, put up spectacular show of elite badminton and claimed the Women’s Singles title after beating her local rival Sinead Chambers in the final battle at Irish Future Series 2012 in Ireland, on Sunday, October 14.

Top seeded Perrine has been working really hard to find a breakthrough at international stage for the last few months and remained successful in winning the crown at Dublin, Ireland, in a staggering fashion as she took just 28 minutes to end up the final contest.

Perrine was in tremendous form as she was quick in taking the bird early from all corners and managed to finish off the winning run of her Irish opponent.

The French lady secured victory in the title match in straight games with a completely one-sided score on the board.

The second seeded Sinead, in the meanwhile, failed to live up to the expectations of her home fans as she could not show a strong character on court, losing her focus in the ending points, and lost the match without securing any set.

In the first game, both players were focused and they played positive badminton to remain in control of rallies.

However, the top seeded French shuttler started to change her tactics and managed to occupy the driving seat. She played with precision and took a reasonable lead until the end of first half.

After the mid-game interval, Perrine continued playing with tremendous precision throughout the concluding part of first game and she managed to end it up with a 21-17 score on the board.

In the following set, Sinead geared up her speed in all areas of the court but she still failed to create gap on score board as her higher ranked French rival was in superb form and the score remained tight until the break.

The top seeded Perrine showed her aggression in the concluding half of opening game and she managed to win the set with a decent 21-17 score on the board.

Perrine won the Women’s Singles crown by finishing off the final contest in straight games with a reasonable margin of 21-17 and 21-17.
