Mads Pieler Kolding, Kamilla Rytter Juhl rule Mixed Doubles event of 2012 Yonex Dutch Open

Mixed Doubles experts Mads Pieler Kolding and Kamilla Rytter Juhl played with great precision and emerged as champions after beating Marcus Ellis-Gabrielle White in the title match of Yonex Dutch Open on October 14, 2012.

Though, this grand finale concluded in just two games but still the victorious duo had to wait for 30 minutes to read a favourable result of 21-15 and 21-13.

The Danish campaigners showed consistency in their performance and sealed a splendid straight-set victory as the British shuttlers failed to revive their chemistry and knelt down in both games.

Mads Pieler and Kamilla Rytter, who were holding fifth spot in the tournament ranking, set the ball rolling by claiming very first match point on merit and then made the best out of this lead to surpass their challengers in the following game.

In first set of the match, they kick-started their campaign with a flurry of well placed strokes which fetched them three points in a row.

Though, next couple of rallies saw them struggling to control the bird but still they maintained a decent edge until half time.

At mid-game break, Mads Pieler and Kamilla Rytter were enjoying the upper hand with a respectable score position of 11-7.

Later part of the game proved a dead contest as the British players hardly put any resistance and surrendered tamely.

Meanwhile, the Danish shuttlers mounted pressure with 17-12 and then magnified the impact with a final blow of 21-15 total.

This loss hit the twosome of Marcus and Gabrielle severely and they could not rise from the dust in the following game.

They made things worse by going down in the establishing rallies and allowed their competitors to gain an early advantage.

Mads Pieler and Kamilla Rytter did not squander this opportunity and placed a notable figure of 7-3 in no time.

They pushed their challengers in all areas of the court and bagged many valuable points with their power packed smashes and masterly crafted drop net shots.

They maintained a significant difference all the way to final moments and earned the right to raise trophy by putting 21-13 score on the board.
