Ireland’s Sinead Chambers proved her worth in the arena as she stormed into Women’s Singles semi-final after taming Finland’s Karolina Latola in quarter-final clash at the Irish Future Series 2012 at Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, October 13.

The lofty Sinead, who is the second seeded player in the main draw of the tournament, showed her aggression on court and remained successful in winning this quarter-final battle in a completely authoritative manner with a one-sided margin.

Sinead responded to the expectations of her home fans in the most impressive fashion as she played with confidence and easily registered her mark over Karolina by winding up the contest in straight sets with a huge margin in just 20 minutes.

On the contrary, the lower ranked Karolina was not up to the mark as she played negative badminton and remained unable to put up strong resistance against her in-form Irish challenger and eventually lost the match in a lopsided way.

In the first set, the higher ranked local shuttler did not take much time in grabbing wonderful lead at the opening stage.

The Finish lady tried to put up strong show but she could not find gaps in her challenger’s court and eventually remained miles behind her Irish rival on score board until the end of opening half.

After the mid-game interval, Sinead stretched her lead by remaining positive on court and she did not face even a meagre resistance from her Finnish rival at any stage.

The remarkable performance of Sinead helped her to end up the opening game with a completely dominating fashion with a 21-12 score on the board.

In the following set, the higher ranked Sinead played with tremendous control and precision in all of her shots and managed a staggering gap until the end of opening half.

After the one-minute break, the local shuttler continued putting up superb show without dropping her speed and managed to win the second set with a one-sided 21-9 score on the board.
